Dry and Wet Risers
Where?
· Buildings above 18 metres will have dry
or wet risers
· Buildings above 60 metres will have wet risers
Their is to meet the Colombo Fire Service, code of practice and B.S
requirements.
Need for servicing?
· Risers prone to neglect and vandalism
· Damage from leakage could be substantial
· Under BS 5306:1976 dry and wet risers should be
- Visually inspected every 6 months
- Serviced annually
